1. Instantly assign devices from spare inventory

Deployments let you easily distribute spare devices across lockers without needing to pre-select a specific device from a specific bay. Ideal at the start of the school year, for mid-year student enrollments, or whenever a teacher or employee urgently needs a replacement, the system automatically assigns devices from available spares, ensuring devices are always ready and waiting for the user’s arrival.

2. Easily manage inventory with real-time visibility

Every deployment appears clearly on your Deployments dashboard, offering precise, real-time visibility into each assignment. You'll see key details for every deployment at a glance, including: 

  • User’s name 
  • Device ID 
  • Device model 
  • Serial number 
  • Assigned workflow 
  • Pickup location 
  • Current pickup status (collected or pending) 

You'll know exactly when each device was collected — or if it's still awaiting pickup — keeping your deployment operations transparent and efficient.

3. Enable self-serve for easy device pickup

After creating a deployment, you can enable convenient self-serve pickup. The user simply heads to the kiosk, taps "New Device," and signs in. The system takes care of the rest, automatically unlocking the correct locker bay.  

As soon as the locker opens, the pickup is logged instantly — no IT intervention required.

4. Withdraw or reassign deployments without locker visits

Plans can change quickly, and Deployments gives you full flexibility. If a user doesn’t collect their device on time, or if the assignment needs to change, you can withdraw or reassign the deployment remotely with a single click. This instantly removes the user’s access and returns the device to your available inventory — no need to send someone on-site to unlock a bay or reclaim the device — the system handles it for you remotely.

5. Stay proactive with automated low-stock alerts

Deployments helps you proactively manage inventory levels across multiple locations with customized low-stock alerts. Through the Stations tab, you'll get clear views of device availability at every site and locker group, clearly marked as "full," "low," or "empty" based on thresholds you set yourself. You'll receive automated notifications before inventory becomes a problem, ensuring devices are always ready exactly when they're needed.

6. Get comprehensive deployment history for easy reporting

Transparency and accountability are critical. That is why every deployment you create is: 

  • Fully searchable 
  • Filterable by site, group, workflow, and user 
  • Exportable for detailed reporting or audit trails 

From the Deployments dashboard, you can effortlessly run audits, track device usage, and generate comprehensive reports whenever needed. 

Getting started is quick and easy 

Deployments is built into your FUYL portal, so getting started is pretty straightforward: 

  1. Simply create a new workflow, set your workflow name and notification preferences. 
  2. From the Deployments dashboard, click the "Deploy Device" button. 
  3. Enter the user's name, and select the collection site and group. 
  4. Choose whether to lock the deployment to a specific site or allow flexible pickup from multiple available locations. 
  5. Receive immediate notifications if no devices are available at your chosen site or group — before finalizing the deployment. 
  6. Track each deployment remotely, verifying exactly when devices are picked up.
