At this year’s TCEA conference in Austin, Texas, LocknCharge proudly demoed its FUYL Smart Locker System — a powerful tool that simplifies device access, automates support workflows, and keeps IT operations moving in schools.
As districts invest in smarter infrastructure, interest in flexible, cloud-connected device management continues to grow. FUYL’s appearance at TCEA showcased just how far smart locker technology has come — and how it’s solving real problems for IT teams and students alike.
Why FUYL Smart Lockers are gaining momentum
Schools across the U.S. are turning to FUYL lockers to address common IT challenges like:
-
Lost learning time due to missing or dead devices
-
Manual device handoffs draining IT time
-
Delayed repairs caused by inefficient collection or replacement
-
Lack of visibility into who accessed what, when
The FUYL Smart Locker empowers self-serve device access for students and staff, while giving IT administrators full control and reporting through a cloud-based portal. Here's how:
When a student forgets a device, when educators or students are being on-boarded or off-boarded, or when anyone else needs a quick device swap — you can simply send them to a FUYL Smart Locker System to access a working device.
Tower administrators simply provide the end user with a bay number that contains a ready-to-go device inside. End users then enter an assigned PIN, the door opens, and they’ll be able to access the device inside.
Tower actions are tracked in the FUYL Portal, so as the person is retrieving their device, smart locker activity is logged on the back end. The Portal allows you know who is taking what, which helps with breakage, loss, theft and overall accountability.
