FUYL Smart Locker System recognised for transforming device management in education

We’re excited to share that LocknCharge has been named a winner in the 2025 EdTech Awards, taking home two Cool Tool Awards for our FUYL Smart Locker System.

Hosted by EdTech Digest, the EdTech Awards are the largest and longest-running recognition program in education technology.

Each year, they spotlight outstanding tools and leaders across K–12, higher education, and workforce learning — and we’re proud to be among the innovators recognised for pushing the boundaries of what edtech can do.

What we were recognised for

LocknCharge was awarded in the Cool Tool Awards category for the FUYL Smart Locker System, an intelligent, cloud-connected solution designed to help IT teams manage and distribute devices more efficiently.

Our system earned top honors in:

  • WinnerMobile App / Mobile Device Solution
  • FinalistNew Product or Service (released in 2022 or later)

In today’s schools and districts — where thousands of student devices are in circulation — FUYL delivers:

  • Pre-configured workflows for device loaning, charging, and repair
  • Secure, self-serve access for students and staff
  • Remote device deployment and retrieval — with no on-site IT staff needed

What sets FUYL apart is its ability to automate time-consuming tasks, reduce device downtime, and give IT teams complete remote control — all from a centralised portal. It’s not just hardware — it’s a software-powered platform that scales with your institution’s needs.

Why this matters

This award reinforces what our customers already know: when you make device access easier, everything runs smoother.

Whether it’s a student needing a laptop before class or an IT admin deploying devices after hours, smart locker technology removes friction from daily operations and empowers teams to focus on higher-value work.

It also reflects our belief that education technology should do more than exist — it should work better, smarter, and harder for the people who rely on it.

“To the fierce, persistent, and indefatigable innovators, leaders, and trendsetters of edtech — we salute you,” said Victor Rivero, Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest.

We’re honored to be part of that movement.

Looking ahead

This recognition motivates us to continue building solutions that put time, access, and control back into the hands of educators and IT professionals — so they can stay focused on what matters most: helping students succeed.
